Nuggets Take Commanding 2-0 Lead
Los Angeles Lakers fall in Game 2, as the Denver Nuggets dominate on the court.
The Denver Nuggets extended their lead in the Western Conference Finals to 2-0 with a 119-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets' scoring with a triple-double of 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. LeBron James led the Lakers with 26 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Nuggets' hot shooting.
The Lakers trailed by just five points with less than five minutes remaining in the game, but the Nuggets closed out the game with a 10-0 run. The Lakers shot just 37% from the field and 28% from three-point range in the loss.
Game 3 of the series will be played on Saturday at the Ball Arena in Denver. The Nuggets can take a commanding 3-0 lead with a win, while the Lakers will need to find a way to win on the road to stay alive in the series.
